The quick-release mag case allows the operator to attach to the MOLLE platform and be used on a 180 degree rotation (Magazine can be released downwards/upwards dependent on fixed position). The rubber retention keeps the magazine firmly in place but still allows quick release access and hard casing allows guided entry.
