Genuine British Forces issue medical kit pouch. Pouch can be attach to any standard MOLLE system (25mm). The pouch is marked Osprey Mk4 (MTP) pouch, First Aid. Pouch measures 18cm tall, 16cm wide and 6cm deep. The pouch body is constructed from IRR 1000D Cordura. The pouch opens around the sides with a double zipper that runs around three quarters of the sides of the pouch, starting from the bottom corners. This allows the pouch to open outwards fully for easy access to contents. The outside of the pouch has a pleated pocket with a subdued cross label to show that this is the medical kit. The contents in the front pocket are secured with a full width velcro strip to prevent dirt and damp from entering from the top and front of the pouch. The interior of the pouch has a wide, flat pocket sewn into the inside of the pouch front. This opens with velcro and is useful for flat items within the medical kit, such as plasters, antiseptic wipes and similar items. The body side of the interior is faced with velcro. This is to retain the fully removable medical kit roll insert. The medical kit roll is constructed from lightweight, PU coated nylon. Within the roll are two elastics, fastened and approximately 5cm intervals to form loops to retain a variety of dressings, combat tourniquet kits and other first aid items. Sewn to the top of the elastic is an additional layer of black elastic with their own set of sections and loops to carry ancillary items. The entire roll is retained with velcro in place against the body side of the pouch and can be detached from the pouch quickly with its own handle. The pouch is secured to the vest with two vertical MOLLE straps which can be interwoven into the base with three horizontal MOLLE straps. The vertical straps fasten onto the body of the pouch with a press stud. A drainage hole is secured at the bottom of the pouch.
